(Because of advancing age and the problems that go with same, I'll be cutting back on thenumber of items in my store over the next few months - especially items that aredifficult to ship [like oversized pre ww1 sheet music and other oversized items] as well as inexpensive items that have beenlisted for more than 2 years without much buyer interest. If you are watching such anitem in my store, you'd best buy it now before it's permanently removed). Great ca 1930s REAL PHOTO postcard (rppc) showing well dressed & seemingly well-to-do African American couple, probably from Louisville, Kentucky. The woman appears to be wearing a nice fur coat and a stylish hat.
AZO postage stamp box on verso of the real photo postcard shows a solid square in each of the block's 4 corners, indicating a date range of about 1925-1940s. I think, because of the clothing, this photo is on the earlier arc of that time scale.
Standard postcard size.
Photo "signed" in bottom margin by Pichler Home Photo, 1753 Rear St. Louis Avenue, Phone Mag. 4670-J. Only citation I could find on Google for Pichler was for 3 different groups of photos, ca. 1930s, of family members of early Louisville Kentucky civil rights activist Dr. Charles Henry Parrish. Too, there is a St. Louis Avenue in Louisville, Kentucky so I think it's VERY VERY LIKELY that this photo originated there.
I apologize but due to recent machinations by (they frequently like to "fix" things that ain't "broken"), the links shown above may not take you to the specific subject areas shown but will, rather, take you to my entire store where you will now have to do your own searches for those very specific locations and subjects :-{
WORN WITH CREASES AT EDGES as you can see in the scans + some minor soiling on the verso. Good & basically sound however . . . . . . . . . .Remember that theAbraham Lincoln Pennyis not attached to the item. It is put on the scanner bed merely to protect the uniqueness or near uniqueness of an image so that the high buyer gets an item that has not been copied via someone's computer. The penny DOES NOT hide any faults or any damage! (the fine print ... [sigh] ... but please read :-)

WE REGRET WE DON'T SHIP OUT OF USA; SORRY, BUT NO EXCEPTIONS.

FREEshipping via CAREFULLY PACKED, cardboard & plastic sleeve-protected 1st class mail STANDARD RATE.Regardless of what may say on their "Shipping Page," this - while STANDARD MAIL is perfectly safe for smaller & less expensive items - is NOT the same grade of service as a "First Class Mail Package."

I ship AT LEAST twice a week (and OCCASIONALLY 3 times per week) so turnover time or handling time is 3 business days (Mon-Fri) max - often less than that.

PAYPAL IS THE MUCHPREFERRED METHOD OF PAYMENT. Thanks!

Please pay within 4 days. Delayed? Then email me - I'll try to work with you when necessary but it helps a lot when I have contact with you. If your payment is delayed, is liable to send a dun or two. PLEASE NOTE THAT THOSE ARE COMING AUTOMATICALLY FROM AND NOT FROM ME. I typically send out just one reminder.

PLACING A offer IS THE ETHICAL EQUIVALENT OF ACCEPTING THESE TERMS. PLEASE DON'T ASK TO ALTER THEM AFTERWARDS. In return, as our response clearly shows, we'll get your item(s) to you, as described, in a safe, timely manner. Thanks!
